In the meantime, there are a couple of items on my radar this week that I want to share. ✨
1. 🍎 Apple iOS Kit Now on Figma
This is a milestone moment! Apple has introduced their iOS kit as a Figma community file, a resource that’s set to take our design workflows to a whole new level of efficiency.
Not sure what to do with the kit? Well, this is what’s on my agenda:
- Dive deep: Get intimate with the kit's components and overall design system. It's much like familiarizing yourself with the elements and principles of design - the better you know them, the more effectively you can use them.
- Tailor to my needs: It’s all about customization! The iOS kit can be modified to reflect your unique design sensibilities, much like how each designer has a unique way of communicating visually.
- Accessibility testing: The iOS kit on Figma includes elements that follow accessibility guidelines. By using these, you can ensure that your designs are inclusive and usable by a wide range of people, including those with disabilities.
2. 🎒 Product Strategy for Designers: What’s New in Cohort 2!
In the spirit of continuous learning and knowledge sharing, I'm excited to announce that two former students from Cohort 1 will serve as moderators in Cohort 2 of the Product Strategy for Designers course. Their first-hand experiences in the course will add depth to the learning journey.
